Tues April 11 - Flood Resilient Communities Fund Q&A

The next round of funding is now open under the Flood Resilient Communities Fund (FRCF)
$8 million is currently available.

Remaining funding will be available until obligated – please do not wait to get in your application!

Eligible Project Types include: flood-vulnerable property buyouts outside of the Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA); buyouts of vacant, at-risk properties; floodplain restoration projects; dam removal that reduced flood risk. More information is included in the attached fund overview document.

This fund was established by the Vermont Legislature under Act 74 with the intent of improving landscape and community resilience and reducing the future public safety and water quality impacts of climate‐related flood hazards in Vermont, focusing on buyouts of flood‐vulnerable properties and floodplain restoration.
